The Lilu massager is a game-changer for breastfeeding moms. It helped increase milk supply and it's so convenient! The customizable message settings provided comfort and efficiency. A must-have for every breastfeeding mother who's always on the go!
This was amazing! Now I can keep my hands free while I pump. I’ll rotate this with hand message when I’m extra tired or want to do something else while I pump. There are areas it doesn’t reach that I typically get clogs in. However, overall great product. The only thing I would change is that awful clip in the back. It’s extremely hard to clasp and isn’t your standard clip. Lilu should change it to a fanny pack style clip.
I have been using my Lilu massager bra with every pumping session for two months now and I absolutely love this product. I experienced painful engorgement during the first week postpartum and I was desperate for a better solution than constantly needing to hand massage to get the engorgement down. Doing some research, I found this massager bra, ordered it right away, and it instantly provided relief, getting my engorgement under control within a few days. I also feel like this bra helps empty my breasts more than when I use my portable pumps and helps keep engorgement and clogged ducts at bay. The construction and material of the bra is high quality as well and has held up well in the wash (I throw it in a mesh bag in the washer and then air dry it). Only small compliant is that the battery doesn’t last as long as claimed so I charge the bra every other pump session (I usually pump for 15-20 minutes) since it’ll die on me if I try to stretch it to a third session without charging.
Customer service was stellar and helped me right away. I originally ordered a Small based on their size chart but found it too tight so I emailed their support address and got timely, friendly responses and a quick resolution. I’m a 34B postpartum and the Medium allowed for more leeway with adjusting the straps than the Small. Overall, I’m grateful this massager bra exists and have recommended it to all my pregnant and current breast pumping friends.
This is great for mothers who can afford this product. Massage can help a mother’s production & for those mother’s who prefer the hands free massage that saves time & is within their budget, this is a justifiable investment.
As an exclusive pumper, I was doing a lot of hand massaging to get the most milk I could get out during pumping. It was frustrating to finish a thirty minute pumping session and still feel that my breasts were heavy with milk. I was cautious about investing in the Lilu Massage Bra because there weren't too many reviews yet, but after struggling with ductal narrowing (formerly known as "clogged ducts"), I decided to bite the bullet and buy it.
I vastly underestimated how much weight I had gained, so the medium I bought ended up just baaaarely fitting. Even though it is a bit small, it's still comfortable and feels high quality. (I saw that Lilu offers free exchanges for sizes for unused bras, but when I saw that, I already had the bra on and was using it. Plus, I kind of am hoping to not stay this size. I was able to loosen the bra a bit, and while it's still tight, it's not leaving marks on my shoulders or too tight for me to clip myself. Hopefully in time it will fit a bit looser.)
It works amazing at emptying my breasts. I consistently am getting about an ounce more out of both sides, which I believe is helping my supply. Also, normally when I'm super engorged, I have to hand express to get things going. Otherwise, I could get to the end of a 30 minute pumping session and still have a rock hard breast and only an ounce of milk out. After hand expressing, things would flow faster it seemed like. But with the lilu massage bra, I didn't have to do any hand expressing to get things moving. My formerly rock hard breast was completely soft by the end of the session! Truly that amazes me because even hand massage and pumping couldn't get the milk out before.
On flanges: both my pumping pal flanges and plastic spectra flanges fit through the openings on the bra, but I find that hard plastic flanges are easier to use with this bra. Pumping pal flanges need to be bent back and slowly unbent onto the breast in order to be applied correctly, and since my bra was already very tight, it just wasn't happening. With the plastic flanges with a silicone insert, I only had to position my nipples in the right place after clipping the bra on, and I was good to go.
On how the bra helps address ductal narrowing/clogged ducts: we used to think that "clogged ducts" resulted from failing to empty the breast adequately. The newly released mastitis protocol explains that research has found that it's impossible for a milk duct to become "clogged." What causes a "clogged duct" is actually inflammation in the breast that causes the passages through which milk passes to swell, allowing less milk to flow through. This is called ductal narrowing. To treat it, you need to use ice and ibuprofen. To prevent it, you need to be gentle with the breast to avoid inflammation.
What does this have to do with the lilu massage bra? Sometimes hand massage can result in damage to the breast. Especially in the beginning of my pumping journey, I had no idea how to get the milk flowing, and I got quite aggressive when I was worried about developing a "clogged duct." This inadvertently caused the very thing I was trying to avoid. BUT the lilu massage bra is so gentle yet effective that I haven't experienced any "clogged ducts" at all! It's gentle so it doesn't damage the breast tissue and cause inflammation, and it empties the breasts effectively so that you don't need to do much if any hand expression/massage. I highly recommend the bra to anyone who is struggling with recurrent ductal narrowing/clogged ducts like I was.
One slight issue is the battery. When I first got it, I plugged in the bra and tried to turn it on--it didn't turn on. It had to be plugged in for about half an hour before it finally turned on; I was worried until then that I'd gotten a dud. The cord it comes with is quite short, so you're tethered to your power source while pumping. Also, the battery drains fast on the higher setting. Since I do thirty minute pumping sessions, I try to only use it wireless for one session before charging it again. If the battery gets too low before charging it again, it will refuse to turn on for about 20-30 minutes.
The bra with the compression bags is quite heavy and bulky. With the compression bags in, I could never get away with wearing it under my clothes while at work. However, it's perfectly functional and great to use around the house.
Overall, this bra saves a lot of time and pain. Sooo glad I don't have to hand express or hand massage anymore!
This does not work for smaller chested women.
I have suffered from a chronic undersupply since my baby was born. We have struggled in our breastfeeding journey, so I have been an exclusive pumper her whole life. I have slowly been building up my supply, and as it increased, I noticed that I was starting to get more clogged ducts, even with hand massage. I did a lot of research and ended up purchasing this bra. Initially I bought the wrong size, but customer service was so fantastic and met with me via video chat and helped me determine the correct size. They then sent me the correct size without any cost to me. The new size fit so much better. For those wondering, I am a 36G-H, and the Large size fit the best. Ever since I started using the correct size, I am producing more milk than I ever have and I have not had a clogged duct since! I have also been able to work while pumping. I have found that sometimes wearing a nursing bra underneath can mess with the bra fitting properly, but if I take it off or move it down further on my ribs, then the bra is able to fit snugly. It is a little loud, slightly louder than my Medela Pump-In-Style pump, but the massage cushions feel nice as they work. They take some time to get used to, but then will fade into the distance while you do whatever it is you want to do. I highly recommend purchasing this product because it works!
As a Mom of 4, I have pumped A LOT of milk and never has it felt so effortless as when I am wearing this massage bra! I would definitely recommend!

The person who bought it for me said she wished she had one as a new mom (years ago, before the product existed I believe) because she struggled so much with pumping and her supply. Fast forward to actually having my son and the reality of breastfeeding and pumping hit me hard. My milk did not come in for ten days post-birth, I had to work closely with a lactation consultant, and she had me pumping after every nursing session to stimulate production. ‘Heat and massage’ were the top recommendations she gave. This is what had me thankful that I had the massaging bra, because this took one thing off my sleep-deprived brain. Even when the massager stopped working (which was quickly sorted by Lilu staff), I preferred the Lilu bra over my Ollie Gray bra, because the opening on the bra didn’t push the flange in a downward position, and it felt more comfortable (which is a complaint I’ve heard from other friends, which forces them to pump one side at a time so they can hold the flange straight- which is annoying and time consuming, so I LOVE that I can pump both sides at the same time). The bra is very sturdy and the Velcro adjustments make it customizable (I have a narrow rib cage and large breasts so sizing is always a struggle, and even the Ollie Gray has some slight gapping). The only negative I could say is that the plastic pieces on the side of the bra can dig slightly into my ribs- but I only wear the bra for my 15 min pump sessions, so it has never been an issue. Overall, Lilu bra is the one I reach for when I pump and I’m very happy with it- and I recommend it (with or without the massager) to women I know who pump.

With my first son I hated pumping, and with him being in the NICU that is all I could to. I was scared to do it and breast feed this time with my second because of everything from last time. This bra makes a big difference, it is less painful for one. But I also get 2-3 more oz of milk every time I use it.

It was very uncomfortable, so I decided to pump anyway, in order to empty my breasts and be able to stay comfortable during the day. Contrary to what I was told, with the Lilu Massager I was able to feel my breasts were "empty", my son was able to feed more comfortably when I didn't want to pump, and eventually regulate my supply.
